Pear & Honey Galette

Served with ice cream or custard and you have yourself a perfect summery dessert. This galette would be absolutely perfect for a garden party. A refreshing, fruity serve, this is a super easy dessert to make!

If you want a golden brown crust, add an egg wash and some more brown sugar. I prefer a little less sugar if I can help it hence why my pastry is a little more pale!

Ingredients:

  1. GF pastry
  2. 1 Asian Pear
  3. 3 tbsp of honey & more for drizzling
  4. 3 tbsp Brown Sugar

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180c
  2. Roll out your pastry on to some baking paper
  3. Drizzle over some honey and about 1 tbsp of brown sugar
  4. Slice up your pear and evenly spread over the pastry but leave some space around the edges
  5. Mix 2 tbsp brown sugar with 3 tbsp honey and spoon on top
  6. Gently fold over the edges of the pastry
  7. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes

Best eaten fresh!
